Why We Created a Dental Assisting Program

Dental Technology Center of Hawaii’s Dental Assisting Program started because of demand for highly trained dental assistants to satisfy the huge job market in Hawaii.

Dentists have been telling us, “dental assistants need to learn more of what allows them to function in a real dental office. Too many of the assistants entering the dental field are unable to just step into an office and feel comfortable working.” We wanted to create a program that lets assistants learn all aspects of dentistry and have hands-on experience in the areas that they will need from day one on the job. We offer a short, intense three month course that focuses on being a dental assistant! We will teach you everything you need to know to work as a dental assistant in Honolulu, or wherever you decide to live in Hawaii.
